3. Minutes
The minutes of the previous meeting (April) were approved.
4. Items carried over
- MA confirmed that the drawings requested for the outside area pertained to the area at the rear. Ardmore suggested the latest ones could be sent.
- Katy Ghahremani commented on turning circles – cars may be able to turn around via a 5-point turn. Make have seen a drawing and commented.
- Samuel Uff said that there may be an update on the phone kiosks issue, and this could be sent. SEC Newgate to check and update group.
- There was discussion about general landscaping details. Council planners reported that they are working with Ardmore’s architects on these and do see them –there are some issues outstanding and not all details have been submitted yet.
5. Ardmore update
- The front portion of the Green has been handed over; affordable housing snagging is now taking place. Hotel area almost finished, started snagging, to be finished in August/September 2023.
- Heritage sign-off being worked to now along with the café unit which will include baby change room, etc.
Questions
- On the conservation management plan: this is being drawn up by Ardmore. The council shared the document number: HGY/2023/1703
- There was a request for regular stakeholder’s forum meetings during the fitout involving FEC and Brunsfield. Angela Walsh (FEC) is happy to discuss with Liz and Mark.
- MA requested an estimated completion date, to be confirmed by Ardmore (action).
6. Questions to Time + Space
- Will there be single point of contact for community groups to use indoor or outdoor spaces?
Yes, this will be directly managed by Time & Space. - There was discussion about community use agreement and its level of detail. Graeme Jennings suggested there is no need to duplicate, the existing CUA was sufficient.
- FEC emphasised that these groups cannot be set up before Ardmore hands over for fitout.
7. Update from FEC
- Of the residential that has been released to the market, 80% has been reserved, which are primarily local owner occupiers.
- Loft apartments have not yet been released.
- There was a request for more frequent meetings in the final phase of delivery. FEC suggested this would be discussed at that later time.
